Who We Recruit For

We recruit for national, top-tier, mid-tier and boutique law firms as well as a range of corporates. Our clients include a wide variety of practice styles and we cover a surprisingly large proportion of the Australian and international market. We recruit both permanent and contract lawyers. We recruit in all capital cities on mainland Australia as well as in most overseas jurisdictions that Australians choose to travel to.

Our Recruitment Process

After obtaining your initial CV or telephone call we will arrange an informal meeting, perhaps over a coffee, to get to know you better and to discuss the lawyer job opportunity or opportunities we have available that might interest you. There’s no obligation on your part at that stage and we like to think that it will mark the beginning of a successful partnership. We usually like to see a draft CV and your academics prior to meeting with you so that we can prepare for the meeting. We won’t act on your CV at that point or without your instructions and we understand that maintaining your confidentiality is paramount.

In the initial meeting we’ll take down key information we need to assist you and will tell you all we can about the roles and the organisations you are considering. We’ll give you honest and straight-up advice about your likely prospects of success and will also give you salary and other advice if you want it. We will point out any changes we recommend to your CV and make sure that you are in a position to make an informed decision about whether you want to proceed. Once we have your final CV and your go ahead on the role or roles you are interested in, we forward your CV together with a brief summary of your experience to the employers you have nominated. Unlike other recruiters, we won’t pass your CV to anyone you haven’t authorised, send out anonymous versions of your CV with the names removed, make spurious claims about your ability or put you forward for roles that don’t meet your long-term career goals. What we will do is make sure that your CV lands on the desk of the right person at the right time for the roles that are right for you.
