Skills & responsibilities
You will be a Tax Lawyer at Associate or Senior Associate level. Your Masters in Tax or CTA will be highly regarded.
Your new role
Will see you utilising your in-depth Australian tax experience to interpret and apply tax legislation, ATO rulings, attending to ATO reviews and audits; liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies; draft private ruling applications; conduct in-depth research on taxation issues; stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations; advise on the tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructures.
You will have solid technical tax knowledge (income tax, GST, capital gains, FBT) and capable of researching complex matters; advisory experience – broad spectrum of tax issues for various structures e.g corporates, trusts; tax disputes and dealing with the ATO; experience with complex state taxes highly regarded, eg stamp duty and payroll tax; experience with superannuation highly regarded.
Your clients include all types of sophisticated clients such as corporate, trusts, SMSF and high net worth individuals and family groups.
